Southwest Airlines

Southwest Airlines took to the skies in 1971 after winning many battles through the court system from other major airlines who initially tried to keep them on the ground.

Since that day through to today Southwest has become more and more popular with their passengers throughout America.

Other names which Southwest are known by are South West Airlines and Southwest Air Line.

Starting with flights between Dallas, Houston and San Antonio, Texas with four Boeing 737-200 aircraft which were leased. Today Southwest fly more than 500 aircraft carrying approximately 100 million passengers to over 60 cities throughout America.
