Kite making for a child and/or children is so much fun.
Seeing the amazement on his / her face when the kite is finished and they can go out and fly their newly created colorful kite is just great. When you tell them they are actually making their very own aircraft watch those litle eyes light up.
Any child can be making one of these kites without fuss. The materials are cheap and readily available to all.
When you can enjoy the time kite making for a child and watching them run about flying that kite out in the sun and wind it is so rewarding.
Multiply that for a whole bunch of children kite making is even better still.
To hear them laughing and cheering, making all sorts of fun sounds. Watching them running around trying to get their brand new self-made kites to fly makes life fun.
In case the weather is not so good for kite making why not take a hint from this page and do some drawings / paintings of a child making a kite. I'm sure any child would love to do this also.

Well you don't want to stick with just the most basic design forever do you?
My friends at Breeze Chasers have pre-thought of this little dilemma. What they have done for all of us is created a directory of kiting clubs whereby we can obtain all the kits and spare parts we are ever going to need.
Should you desire to take a short cut and just purchase a kite the above link will help you to do that also. There are many varieties of kites for both little and big (adult) children who just love to fly.

It's good to let a child know about "No Fly Zones" for kites.
No kite should fly near other people, pets or objects. Reason is nearly always someone or something gets hurt.
