Airbus a320

airbus a320 01

The Airbus A320 is possibly one of the most successful aircraft made by Airbus.

The aircraft itself is mid sized with a passenger capacity of between 150 and 180 people.

The A320 was first commissioned in February 1988 with Air France as the first airline to purchase. From then Airbus decided to expand the family firstly with the A321 in 1989, then the A319 in 1993 and finally the A318 in 1999.

Airbus created the A320 to directly compete with the Boeing 737-3/4 and 500 as well as the McDonnell Douglas MD80/90 aircraft.

A320 Variants
