Field Service Engineer
I Support the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) For all Communications and Navigation from Honeywell systems for the past 8 years. Aircraft I support: C-130H Hercules 16 A/C, E-767 AWACS 4 A/C, KC-767J 4 A/C, UH-60J 39 A/C and the new C-X transport.
Aircraft that I have worked on MD-80 Bae-146-200 B-727, B-737, B-757, B-767, B-747 B-777, Q-400, Global Express, CRJ, E-145, E-170 E-190 and A-380.

I training there shop technicians in repair and testing of aircraft VHF, VDRs, HF radios also, VHF data radios and SATCOM MCS 3000, 6000 and 7000 military versions of this system. Flight Data Recorder (FDR) and Communication Voice Recorder (CVR). Aircraft intercom and cabin Communication systems also Avionics Instrument system maintenance and OJT on HSI, ADI, VSI, ADF, Mach speed and Airspeed Ind. I support engineering sections of and flight operations, flight line problems and troubleshooting of aircraft issues of the JASDF. I am the first line support for the Prime Minister of Japan VIP Boeing 747-400.
Support JAL (Japan Airlines) in upgrading the full JAL fleet to EGPWS also, all flight simulators too.
When JAL converted from AIMS1 to AIMS2 I support the full fleet of B-777 to completion

Support JAL (Japan Airlines) and ANA (All Nippon Airlines), at both Narita Airport and Haneda Airport. Also, I support JAL's subsidiaries airline in the north and south parts of Japan.
This support of JAL (Japan Airlines) and (ANA All Nippon) Airlines encompasses daily visits to the repair shops.
Expert for JAL and ANA on the Boeing B-777-200/300ER both with AIMS1 and AIMS2.

Training the shop technicians in proper repair of aircraft VHF, VDRs, HF radios also, VHF data radio VDR mode2 witch complies with the ARINC 716/750 standard and is accessible via the bus using a programmable interface like the CMU (Communication Management Unit). SATCOM (Satellite Communication) and aircraft intercom and cabin Communication systems. Testing of these radios and communication equipment. Plus I support engineering sections, flight operations, flight line and AOG issues.

OJT on Avionics Instrument system maintenance and OJT on HSI, ADI, VSI, ADF, Mach speed and Airspeed Indicators in both JAL and ANA repair shops.

JAL is a very demanding customer with questions about our product which requires me to work 15 to 18 hours per day. I covered all Honeywell's AES products. I supported JAL's flight upgrade program in Victorville California for 6 months onsite. Installing CMU, SATCOM, VDR Mode2, Scanning DME, IRU, Data Loader and printer. I gave hands on support for this program. Which saved Honeywell 16 million dollars from possible delays in the program?

Supported JAL entry of service of the Embraer 170 and received full factory training on the EPIC system on the E-170 and E-190.

I was some of the few FSE from Honeywell to receive Boeing 787 advanced avionics training at Boeing.

Working on the Yokota US Air Force Base as a contractor. Under (AMC) Airlift Military Command for Contract Airlines. Federal Express, Evergreen Airlines, World, Polar Air. Worked on all types of avionics. Honeywell and Collins products (Weather radars, VHF, HFs, TCAS, GPWS, Transponder, SATCOM, Displays, Autoflight, IRS MD-11 Glass Cockpit and MSP). Also FMC GPS navigation systems, ADF, VOR, DME, FDRs, Voice recorders and IFE systems. Troubleshooting with all types of test gear. On 747-100-300 DC-10, MD-11, L-100 (C-130) and DC-8-63 aircraft. Engines CFM-56, JT9D

Lead a crew of 7 mechanics to perform all aircraft maintenance on G/A Aircraft.
C-150, C-152, C-172, C-172RG, C-182, C-206P, C-337 and C-310.
Test engine and system operations using test equipment.

Use tools such as ignition analyzers, compression checkers, distributor timers, and ammeters.
Take apart and inspect parts for wear, warping, or other defects.

USAir Airlines Los Angeles, Calif 9/1985 to 9/1990
Lead Mechanic
A, B and C phase checks. All types of avionics upgrades and repairs using different test Equipment. Lead in charge to recover grounded aircraft in non-maintenance base cities.
ETOPS qualified on the 767 also, Taxi instructor.
Release qualified on Bae-146, MD-80, 737-300-400, 727-200, 767-300ER.
Taxi instructor B-737 and B-767.

To keep aircraft in peak operating condition, aircraft and avionics equipment, IFE Systems and service technicians perform scheduled maintenance; make repairs, and complete inspections required by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). I managed C and D Checks on B-727, 737, 767, BAe-146, MD-82 also 50,000 Overhaul checks. Also keep records related to the maintenance performed on the aircraft. Mechanics and technicians conduct inspections following a schedule based on the number of hours the aircraft has flown, calendar days since the last inspection, cycles of operation, or a combination of these factors.
